The School of Business Job & Internship Fair

The School of Business Job & Internship Fair will take place on Tuesday, March 5. This career fair-style networking event is designed for business students to connect with employers and to learn about career opportunities.

Cost: Registration is $50 for up to two representatives. A third representative may attend for an additional $15. Refunds are not accepted after Feb. 22, 2019.

Format: The School of Business Job & Internship fair is a career fair-style event designed to connect students with employers. Companies will be provided one bistro table with a table cloth. Our goal is to easily connect students with employers, so there will not be space for traditional freestanding displays. We encourage you to bring business cards, name tags, and other small handouts.

Parking & Directions: Parking is available in the Morken Center Parking Lot, located on 10th Ave S, across from the Morken Center for Learning and Technology. Registrants will be provided a parking pass once registration is confirmed. Directions to Morken can be found here.

Interviews: Following the fair, businesses will have the opportunity to conduct on-campus interviews with the students who attended the fair. To schedule your on campus interview day, please contact Margaret in Alumni & Student Connections at sauermf@plu.edu. The deadline to schedule your on-campus interviews is February 15, 2019.

Education Career Fair

The annual Education Career Fair will take place on Wednesday, March 13. This career event will host numerous education/teaching employers to promote their career opportunities to students.

Cost: The employer registration fee is $50. This includes a 6-foot table, two chairs, light refreshments, and WiFi. A second 6-foot table may be purchased for an extra $50. The online registration and payment must be received by Alumni & Student Connections no later than Wednesday, Feb. 27, unless special arrangements have been made in advance.

There is no registration fee for student attendees.

Employer Information: Upon approval of your registration, you will receive an email confirmation and directions. Due to processing costs, no refunds will be accepted after Wednesday, Feb. 27. Requests for special accommodations, such as access to an electrical outlet, can be submitted to Alumni & Student Connections at the time of registration.

Student Information: It is highly encouraged that students RSVP to attend the Education Career Fair. A resume may be uploaded at the time of online registration. Dress is business casual.

Parking & Directions: Parking is available in any university lot, though the Mortvedt, Harstad, or University Center Parking Lots are closest to the Anderson University Center. Registrants will be provided a parking pass once registration is approved. The university’s physical address is 12180 Park Avenue South, Tacoma, WA 98447. Driving directions to Anderson University Center can be found here.

Interviews: Interviews may be conducted onsite. Interview rooms will be provided at the time of the event. Individual rooms can accommodate 2-6 people.

Nursing Career Event

The Nursing Career Event will take place on Monday, Feb. 25. This event will host numerous healthcare employers to promote their career opportunities for students.

Cost: The employer registration fee is $50. This includes a 6-foot table, two chairs, light refreshments, and WiFi. A second 6-foot table may be purchased for an extra $50. The online registration and payment must be received by Alumni & Student Connections no later than Feb. 22, unless special arrangements have been made in advance.
