Effective March 12, 2022, all public events at PLU are mask optional, to include Commencement. There is no requirement for COVID-19 vaccination verification or testing, however we recommend all visiting community members stay up to date on the COVID-19 vaccine series. These policies are in accordance with Washington State and Pierce County recommendations, as well as the current CDC community level recommendations. PLU’s event masking policy will change if the situation in the state, county, or on the PLU campus changes. Please check back here for any future updates.

As a visitor or graduating student attending Commencement, please do your part to help keep the PLU community healthy. Stay home if you are sick or are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms. If you believe you may have been exposed to a positive case, please follow the current guidance of testing and quarantine after exposure and wear a face mask in all settings for at least 5 days.

Mask Optional means that masks are not required, however we encourage anyone that feels more comfortable wearing a mask to do so. Please be respectful of the individual choice to wear a mask or not.
