What we're about
Communication is a dynamic and varied field. We have designed our program to provide you with both theory and practice in the field—we want you to know how to explain and predict, but we also want you to be able to apply directly what you’re learning in the classroom to real world opportunities and challenges.
We are often asked, “what can I do with a Communication degree?” Communication is the top rated skill in almost every profession, and we have students who have gone on to graduate school in communication, law, public policy, higher education administration, and business. We have graduates who work in communication roles in every company you’ve ever heard of including Nike, Amazon, Nordstrom, and Apple; graduates who are journalists and media professionals; graduates who are consultants and speechwriters in political consultancies; graduates who advocate for a better climate, for education, for housing; graduates who do marketing, promotions, public relations, advertising, and design in house and for specialized firms.
We want you to learn a set of perspectives and tools that prepare you for citizenship, for participation in your community, and for whatever professional path you seek. Join us!
