PLU announces four new online business courses

TACOMA, WASH. (Oct. 19, 2016)- Pacific Lutheran University is now offering a four-course catalog of online business classes tailored to the needs of busy working professionals. The new courses are titled “Better Business Writing in One Week,” “Coaching Your Team to Higher Performance,” “Practical Grant Writing” and “Human Resource Management in the 21st Century.”
“These online courses will provide opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and skills in professional fields by working with experienced mentors, and also allow students to work at their own pace,” said Geoffrey Foy, PLU’s associate provost of graduate programs and continuing education.
The new courses are part of a new partnership between PLU and CampusCE. Headquartered in Seattle, CampusCE specializes in cloud-based software solutions in continuing education, workforce development and lifelong learning institutions.
“Our goal is to prepare today’s workforce through online content,” said Loren Pace, CEO and president of CampusCE. “Our team is staffed with trained professionals who have years of experience working for colleges and universities specializing in online education and career training,” Pace added.
“PLU and CampusCE share similar outlooks with respect to providing industry professionals, community leaders, and the general public access to educational opportunities that enhance one’s knowledge and skill set,” Foy said.
The four courses are the latest addition to PLU’s menu of online learning opportunities. The university also offers online and blended (online and on campus) undergraduate courses in a wide variety of subjects.
