On-campus student in Hinderlie Hall tests positive for COVID-19
Posted on Monday, January 19, 2020.
We have received notification that a resident of Hinderlie has tested positive for COVID-19. They learned of their results via PCR testing associated with the move-in requirement. Because this was the case, the student has been in quarantine since move-in and awaiting their test results. As a result, no close contacts have been identified. The student is asymptomatic and in good health and has transitioned off-campus for their period of isolation.
We are required to honor the Washington State law that protects this individual’s confidential information and privacy, and as a result, we will not release their name.
We wish our Lute family member a speedy and uncomplicated recovery!
Please continue to take all precautions outlined in the Return to Learning on Campus Guide, including wearing face coverings, maintaining basic hygiene, physical distancing, and self-monitoring for symptoms.
