October 29th, 4-7pm. In the CAVE
The FAFSA/WASFA is an event designed to assist, specifically First in the Family (FIF) students with the process of applying for financial aid. There will be staff from the Office of Financial Aid as well as FAFSA and WASFA specialists available to assist with specific questions or concerns. We want to uplift that this is a safe space for undocumented students or anyone who wants to make it easier to pay for college with Federal or State financial aid.
This drop-in event is designed for students who have questions about their applications or who want a safe and designated space to work on their applications. Additionally, this event will act as a follow-up for first years in a PLUS 100 course which will overview the FAFSA and WASFA applications.
This event was designed through a collaboration between the Diversity Center, Stuen First in the Family Learning Community, and Residence Hall Association in an effort to provide necessary resources for First In the Family and First Generation identified students.
Any student who would like to request an accommodation to fully participate in this program may contact rlif@plu.edu.
