After I graduate, I will be attending PLU’s Master of the Arts in Education program for the 2016-2017 school year. I decided to go into teaching because I believe this career will provide me ample opportunities to positively impact the lives of many people. Because I am an English major, I feel very prepared to use this subject as a medium to make a difference with my potential students. When I graduate, I hope to teach in Hawaii—at least for a couple years before I come back to teach in Washington. If I could give future seniors any advice about graduation and employment, I would tell them not to get overwhelmed with big-picture thinking. It’s okay to take it one step at a time, because the most successful lives are created moment by moment.
