Involvement Fair – The Involvement Fair is held every year following Convocation. Stop by the Center for Gender Equity’s table to learn how you can be involved in the upcoming school year!

Follow the Chocolate Trail Open House – The Center for Gender Equity holds an open house in conjunction with the Diversity Center at the beginning of each school year. Join us to check out the Center for Gender Equity, meet the staff and interns, and, of course, enjoy the chocolate fountain!

Fight the Fear – Fight the Fear is a free self-defense course that not only provides participants with physical skills but also tips on how to use one’s voice to assert their right to a safe space

Love Your Body DayLove Your Body Day is part of a national campaign to promote positive and healthy body image. Celebrate your diverse and beautiful body!

Gender Reconciliation Workshop – Members of Gender Reconciliation International facilitate a multi-day workshop each fall to unpack the effects of gender socialization on all people. Join us for great discussions, snacks, and activities!

Sex+ – Sex+ is a year long series sponsored by The Diversity Center, Center for Gender Equity, and the Health Center to address the growing need for positive conversations concerning sex, gender, and sexuality.

LGBTQ History Month – October is LGBTQ History Month! The Center for Gender Equity and the Diversity Center sponsors a variety of events during October to celebrate and embrace sexual diversity. Contact the Center for Gender Equity or the Diversity Center to find out how you can be involved!

Queer Student Retreat – This retreat provides a space for queer-identified or questioning students to explore their identities and relationship to the PLU community.

Transgender Day of Remembrance – In collaboration with a variety of university offices and the Tacoma community, we host a gathering to remember those lost to transphobic violence.
