Hello, I am a transgender Social Worker with a strong background in anti-oppression work. My pronouns are They, Them, and Their. I approach my work and life from an intersectional feminist lens and seek to lift up the voices of those who are historically, culturally and institutionally silenced.
I have many years of experience serving transgender youth, adolescents, adults, and elders in private practice. In addition to direct service work I have provided consultation, curriculum development, keynotes, expert witness testimony, and professional trainings to agencies and universities throughout the nation to increase access and liberation for transgender individuals. I am adjunct faculty at SPSCC where I teach Multicultural American History and Psychology. I am an active member of an International group of colleagues working to depathologize transgender identities across the world.
My commitment at PLU is to support every single member of our community in their understanding of how and why gender equity is important. I am a willing listener who is responsive to the needs of individuals and community. I wish to shed light on the issues experienced by gender targets while educating allies in how they can best act in solidarity with us. I am thrilled to be in service to you and I look forward to sharing my passion and expertise while growing in this learning environment.
