Summer Wellness 2016

yoga class

Session One

Core Fitness

When: Tuesdays, 12:15-12:45pm
Dates: June 7 – July 5
Where: Columbia Center
Cost: $10 per class or $25 for all three
Minimum Enrollment: 12
Instructor: Allison Stephens 
Description: Build strength, stability, and balance through traditional abdominal exercises, pilates and planks. Please bring a mat.

 

Cardio Blast

When: Wednesdays, 12:15-12:45pm
Dates: June 8 – July 6
Where: Columbia Center
Cost: $10 per class or $25 for all three
Minimum Enrollment: 12
Instructor: Susan Westering
Description: A workout that incorporates stations involving cardio, strength and conditioning and    interval movements.  Fun workout that will amp up your metabolism!

Cardio Tone Kickboxing

When: Thursdays, 12:15-12:45pm
Dates: June 9 – July 7
Where: Columbia Center
Cost: $10 per class or $25 for all three
Minimum Enrollment: 12
Instructor: Ebony Weber
Description: This class is a combination of cardio, toning, boxing, and marital arts set to high-energy music. Basic punching and kicking combinations will be taught along with cardio and toning exercise providing a total body workout. This class is aimed to improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination and balance. All fitness levels are welcome!

Boot Camp

Boot Camp

When: Monday -Thursday
Dates: July 11 – July 14
Where: Meet outside of Names Fitness Center (weather permitting)
Cost: Free to participate
Minimum Enrollment: 12
Instructor: Allison Stephens, Megan Taylor & Susan  Westering 
Description: Class will feature four fun-filled days of circuits using balls, bands, weights, ladders, ropes, steps, kickboxing, low-impact aerobics and more!!! This could be the most fun you will ever have exercising!

 

Session Two

Yoga

When: Mondays, 12:15-12:45pm
Dates: July 18 – August 15
Where: Columbia Center
Cost: $10 per class or $25 for all three
Minimum Enrollment: 12
Instructor: Megan Taylor
Description: Staff, administrators, and faculty are invited to take a quick pause in your work day to focus on building strength, flexibility, and balance through hatha (physical practice) yoga. You will learn various asanas or poses individually and then combine them in a flow. At the end of the half hour, you will feel invigorated and refreshed to go back to work. Please bring a yoga mat and a strap/belt.

 

Walk Live

When: Tuesdays, 12:15-12:45pm
Dates: July 19 – August 16
Where: Columbia Center
Cost: $10 per class or $ 25 for all three classes
Minimum Enrollment: 12
Instructor: Paula Battle
Description: Faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to join us for aerobic calorie burning walk classes conducted using indoor walking techniques.  Exciting, motivating music designed for pace and speed, along with four basic steps and strength training combos make this calorie torching, fat burning, stress releasing group fitness aerobic walk fun and suitable for all Walks of Life! Please wear comfortable clothes and fitness shoes, and bring a water bottle.
