In this talk, Dr. Storfjell will look at Indigenous methodologies and Indigenist criticism, exploring the potential these approaches hold for creating spaces for Indigenous epistemes within the university—both in general, and at PLU specifically. He will situate current efforts to create an Indigenous Studies program here within the context of PLU’s historic—and current—relationships with Indigenous communities, while also elaborating an ethical framework for institutional change.
