Biography

Kara Atkinson is currently serving as the Vet Corps Navigator at Pacific Lutheran University.

Kara medically retired from the United States Army as a Specialist in 2019. She graduated from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center with her Associate of Arts in Egyptian Arabic in 2018.

Kara is in her final year as a PLU student. She will graduate with her Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Religion in May 2023. She is currently working as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (Modern World Conflicts) and is the President of Phi Alpha Theta.

In her time at PLU, Kara has received Dean’s List recognition and participated in the Dale E. Benson Summer Research Fellowship for Business and Economic History.
