School and Band Director Information

We will notify (jazz) band directors by email upon receipt of entry form AND acceptance notification.  The Honor Jazz Band Fee is $55.   The Honor Jazz Band registration form will be posted to our web page in October.

Student Nomination Criteria

Before nominating a student, please check with each student concerning his or her availability.


  • Student has guaranteed their desire and availability (i.e. conflicts with school activities) for this event.
  • Serious students in your program that have already achieved success in music.
  • 8th - 9th grades for junior high band / Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status for senior high band.
  • Detail student accomplishments (all-state, all-northwest, all-region, etc.).
  • Indicate all instrument specifics: alto / tenor/ bari sax, trumpet, trombone / bass trombone, guitar, upright / electric bass, piano, drums
  • ALONG WITH this nomination the student must submit a video or audio clip performing the musical excerpt sent to you earlier to joynerdl@plu.edu
