Biography

Betty Agent, a native of El Paso, Texas, holds music degrees from the University of Colorado and Eastern Washington University.  In addition to her teaching duties at PLU, she is a member of the Regency String Quartet.  This faculty ensemble performs regularly on campus and at high schools throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Ms. Agent is currently the Assistant Principal Viola of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra in Seattle and Principal Viola for the Auburn Symphony in Auburn, WA.  An active freelancer, she has worked in all the major Seattle studios, recording for film scores and video games, and has performed with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera.  She has appeared as soloist with the PLU Symphony Orchestra and the Auburn Symphony and performs regularly on the Auburn Symphony Chamber Music Series.  Ms. Agent is a founding member of the Max Aronoff Viola Institute.
