NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
August 29 – September 5, 2017
All new international students are highly encouraged to participate in all days of New Student Orientation (NSO). During NSO, international students will have the opportunity to engage in service trips, meet fellow students, connect with faculty, and learn about various offices on campus that will support your success at PLU.
What to do?
Before arriving to PLU, there are many important things to take care of. But don’t worry; we have gathered this complete to-do list to help your transition into life in the United States and at PLU go smoothly. Try to take care of the following items before you depart your home country, and stay in touch with us for any assistance or questions.
What to pack?
Are you wondering what to bring with you to PLU and how to pack them? Clothing, medication, personal items, etc. We love to provide you with tips and advice to accomplish your packing task and make sure you will stay comfortably in your new home at PLU.
Traveling to the United States
As you make your travel plans to arrive at PLU, remember to keep us in the loop so we can be ready to welcome you. There are important rules for traveling to the United States such as immigration regulations, airlines restrictions, and transportation instructions. Be sure to review this information carefully to plan your trip successfully.
International Peer Advisors
International Peers Advisors (IPA) are current PLU students. We will be here to welcome you, to be your first friends on campus, to give you tips and advice, and to help you get ready for school.
