Associated Ministries: Paint Tacoma Beautiful- Trip Full
Paint Tacoma, a program under Associated Ministries will paint the houses of 35 low-income or low-mobility families and individuals over the course of summer 2015. Students will complete painting work on 1-2 houses near PLU. Come out with your painting clothes to paint Tacoma beautiful! Lunch Provided.

St. Leo's Nativity House- Trip Full
St. Leo's Nativity House sits in the middle of the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma. As this area is traditionally one of the highest in homelessness and poverty, the Nativity House provides emergency shelter and daily meals for hundreds of men, women, and children. Students will serve the shelter by helping in the clothing bank or serving a meal. Lunch Provided.
Tacoma Art Museum & Glass Museum- Trip Full
Explore two of Tacoma's museums in one trip. Enjoy the only glass museum west of the Mississippi devoted expressly to the medium of glass. Explore the art that captures the Northwest spirit and is defined by the changes the area has seen with more continued growth and diversity. Tacoma Rescue Mission- Trip Full
Tacoma Rescue Mission's downtown campus is an emergency shelter for some of Tacoma's most vulnerable populations. They provide overnight shelter, daytime classes, and meals for hundreds of at-risk youth and adults every day. Students on this trip will assist with serving the lunchtime meal. Lunch Provided.
Tai Chi at Chamber's Bay- Trip Full
Learn some of the benefits of tai chi: Burn calories, improve balance, release stress, improve flexibility, low impact, harmonize mind and body, refine focus, and have fun. In partnership with the Tai Chi and Qigong Wellness Center of Tacoma, we have planned a workshop that provides participants a basic understanding of tai chi movements. Participants will want to wear loose fitting clothing, comfortable shoes. Bring water bottles. Plan to eat ahead of time or bring a snack.
