The focus of my nursing practice and career has been continuity of care in the community environment with an emphasis on complex care clients. The complex chronic disease clients are seen in acute care in critical care areas.  The focus of home care has been to provide exceptional complex care in the home that can include life support technologies such as IV therapy, respiratory support and parenteral nutrition.  The expanded focus of my career has includes education development and teaching at the nursing assistant level through the doctoral nurse education.
