Why I Became a Philosophy Major and Joined the Philosophy Club
“I really didn’t declare a degree until about a month ago. I’ll probably apply to grad school once I finish here. I liked the energy of philosophy. I now have a dual major with philosophy and sociology, and at some point, I’d like to teach at the university level.
Philosophy is an analysis of life. It’s beneficial and it’s eye opening. It’s an examination into the meaning of some of the deepest questions in life.
The Philosophy Club is great. We talk. We have fun. Often, you’ll find an equal number of students and faculty showing up for the meetings. We talk about specific topics and issues. We have serious sessions and sometimes we go see movies and talk about the implications afterwards.”
