Dear Campus Community:
Please join me and the entire campus community as we continue open dialogues on sexual assault and violence on campus in an effort to expand community understanding and advocacy, while also increasing the safety and care of our community.
This forum will be led by members of the Title IX Working Group. Feedback from forums held this past spring resulted in development of a draft rubric of sanctions (attached) for Student Rights and Responsibilities processes and will be a subject for this dialogue.
When: Tuesday, September 27
Where: Regency Room, Anderson University Center
Time: 3:45 pm – 5:00 pm
The 2015-2016 report to the community from the Title IX Working Group is attached. The report not only gives a summary of work but also a list of recommendations and action items with timelines.
This fall, members of the Title IX Working Group will be leading a discussion of the book Missoula, Rape and the Justice System in a College Town by Jon Krakauer. If you are interested in participating, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
PLU strives to be a community of deep care, but it requires all to participate. We welcome your voice. It’s on us. It’s on Lutes. Please join us.
