Abstract Writing Workshops

Professors Nancy Simpson-Younger and Wendy Call are holding a one-hour ``abstract writing workshop`` to help you develop your applications (abstract submissions) for the 2018 Dr. Rae Linda Brown Undergraduate Research Symposium.

In this workshop, you will learn how to boil down your creative writing and/or scholarly research to the very short word-counts required for the abstract submission process. You will leave the workshop with a full draft of your application! This workshop is designed for English majors, but other Humanities and Communications majors are most welcome. We will cover both scholarly and creative writing projects.

Choose from two upcoming dates and register today!

Please bring:
1) a paper or digital copy of your research paper or creative work - with an excerpt about 1,000 words that you can read aloud to a small group;
2) something to write on (preferably a laptop); and
3) something to write with.
