This page is an informational page for CONTINUING STUDENTS applying for housing for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Room Selection Process (RSP)

The Room Selection Process is the formal process held by Campus Life for all continuing students intending to live on campus for the next academic year to choose their housing. This process is held throughout J-term and Spring semester. Students must complete all the necessary steps listed in the information below in order to be eligible to apply and be assigned for housing for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Introducing eRezLife

Over the past several months, Campus Life has been working to onboard and implement a new housing software, eRezLife, to be used for our housing processes.  There are exciting features of the new software that we know will make the housing application and selection process more accessible and manageable for students and staff. Campus Life will be sending multiple emails that include information and resources throughout the J-term and Spring semester. These will include instructions for applying to housing, video tutorials for using eRezLife, and any additional information our office can provide as our office works to fully implement eRezLife for all of our housing needs.

At this time, eRezLife will not be fully implemented in order to run the entirety of the Room Selection Process for the 2024-2025 academic year. However, our office intends for students to be able to explore and utilize parts of the software as a part of the Room Selection Process.

Applying for Housing for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

Complete the Housing Application for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. This application will include the Master Housing & Meal Agreement, Learning Community preferences and roommate questionnaire.

Applications will open December 13, 2023 at 12:00PM

In previous years, students have needed to reapply each year to the learning communities they are interested in. In doing so, this has also limited students to be able to apply to only five learning communities.

Beginning the 2024-2025 academic year, students will be approved indefinitely for any previously approved learning communities and will not need to reapply in the future. This will allow students to be approved for as many learning communities as they would like, giving them more options for housing in the future.

Students can view a list of their currently approved learning communities in their eRezLife student profile. Students who would like to be approved for any additional learning communities they are not currently approved for can apply through the “Learning Community Application” on eRezLife.

Over the past several months, Campus Life has been working to onboard and implement a new housing software, eRezLife, to be used for our housing processes. Students will be able to use eRezLife to submit applications and forms, find roommates, and select housing assignments. At this time, eRezLife will not be fully implemented in order to run the entirety of the Room Selection Process (RSP)* for the 2024-2025 academic year. However, our office intends for students to be able to explore and utilize parts of the software as a part of the Room Selection Process.

Once you have completed the Housing Application, log into eRezLife (link coming soon) and complete your profile. Students should update their roommate profile fields (you can copy your answers from your housing application!) in order to make their roommate profile.

Upper division housing applications will be processed the last week of February and emails will be sent out before March 1st to inform students about their status of hall and apartment/room type along with further instructions for the room selection process.

All applicants for upper division housing for the 2024-2025 year who do not receive an assignment will be placed on a waitlist and will be automatically moved to traditional hall housing.

Traditional Hall housing applications will be processed during the last week of March. Information about the Room Selection Event will be shared during the first week of April.

Upper Division Housing Selection will occur in March. Students who are assigned to upper division housing will be notified via email on next steps for selecting apartments and/or individual rooms.

The Traditional Hall Room Selection Event is held over two days in the AUC. Students may attend in person or by proxy (by submitting an online form). More information about this will be shared via email to students after the Traditional Hall housing deadline.
