Our residence halls are within 5 minutes of your classrooms, the library, study groups, etc. and are designed and staffed to encourage connections and a sense of belonging.

Types of Housing:
New for J-Term and Spring 2021: All traditional hall rooms will be single rooms charged at a double room rate. South Hall will function as it has traditionally, allowing for multi-bedroom apartments to be used, the rates will remain the same for South Hall.
Themed Residential Learning Communities: PLU has many living learning communities that are an integral part of the PLU experience to choose from: Hinderlie Community for Creative Expression, Hong International Hall, and the Tingelstad Wellness House are just a few. The residents in these halls have a typical on-campus experience with the added value of developing relationships with faculty and sharing a similar community focus. Additional information is available on our website: Residential Learning Communities.
South Hall: Is reserved for students at least 20 years of age or with 60 or more credits. It is an apartment style hall with 1, 2, and 4 bedroom apartments. If you are interested in a multiple bedroom apartment, but don’t have a roommate in mind, Residential Life can help connect you with someone.
Housing Rates: There is not a cost to J-Term housing if students are housed on-campus for Fall or Spring. The housing rates are available on our Rates & Dates page. If you have questions regarding your financial aid or payment plan options please contact Student Financial Services at (253) 535-7161 or email@example.com.
Current Students Living on Campus
In tandem with the academic calendar changes communicated by PLU, we are requiring each student who currently lives on-campus to communicate their housing plans for post-Thanksgiving 2020 including plans after Fall 2020 ( January Term 2021 and Spring Semester 2021).
We realize that this change will mean finalizing travel plans earlier than previous years and we understand that plans change due to a number of factors. This is an effort to confirm what support services will be needed prior to Thanksgiving and throughout these terms as well as confirming current housing assignments are kept.
Reminder: all current residents agreed to a Fall Semester ONLY Housing Addendum, and must complete this survey/application and new addendum in order to remain in on-campus housing for J-Term and/or Spring.
We will be sending this survey on October 26th, 2020 via students PLU email.
All students that live on-campus must complete this survey by November 1st, 2020 by 11:59 p.m. our office will collect all responses and either confirm housing assignments to email to students or not reassign students to housing. This email notification will go out after November 9, 2020.
Please check our Rates and Dates page for our housing calendar.
There will not be a cost to for J-Term housing if students are housed on-campus for Fall or Spring. Spring 2021 housing will continue Fall 2020 guidelines and we will only charge a double room rate for single rooms in traditional halls.
The housing rates are available on our Rates & Dates page. If you have questions regarding your financial aid or payment plan options please contact Student Financial Services at (253) 535-7161 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
