Dining on Campus

208 Garfield is currently open for curbside pick-up services. The Commons and Old Main Market are open with limited hours. You will notice new directional signage, floor markers, and extended service hours, all in an effort to comply with physical-distancing requirements and keep our community safe and healthy. Under Phase 2 of the Governor’s Safe Start plan, restaurants (including campus dining services) must allow at least six feet of distance between customers, reduce seating capacity to 50%, and allow no more than five guests at a single table.

Due to likely limits on occupancy, dine-in space in our campus restaurants might be limited and/or unavailable, and all meals will be provided in to-go containers until seating-capacity limitations have been lifted. To that end, there are several big changes you will experience when we return to campus. First, the Commons will no longer have All You Care to Eat meal periods. Instead, all meals will be accessed with a Dining Dollar declining balance account. Second, the way you order and pay for food will change. In order to reduce lines and occupancy loads, some units will be available for pre-order only, and will require the use of the GET Mobile Food App to complete a purchase.

It is important to wash your hands thoroughly before and after eating to reduce the potential for transmission of the virus. When dining on-campus in common areas, you should wear your mask until you are ready to eat, and then replace it afterward. Your cooperation in following directional signage, use of face masks before and after eating, and washing your hands before and after eating will reduce the potential for transmission of the virus.
