Collaborate closely with university partners – including Admissions, Enrollment Management, Academic Advising, Academic Assistance, Student Life division colleagues, faculty, and students – in support of major initiatives in the academic division, particularly relating to student success, retention, and persistence.


Aviance joined PLU in 2014. Aviance has held roles in career development and academic advising departments at PLU before joining the Office of the Provost in a new project role coordinating student success initiatives. Aviance also serves on the Wild Hope Steering Committee, FYEP Steering Committee, Student Care Network Team, and as a Campus Ministry partner chaplain. Aviance has professional experience in student development and Higher Education administration at University institutions in both student affairs and academic affairs capacities. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education from Azusa Pacific University in California.
