Rainier Writing Workshop
PROGRAM COSTS
"Overall, I feel like I've been given the gift of new tools, new perspectives on how to look at my work and that of others with more clarity."
Participants entering in Summer 2013 will be paying a total of $33,000 for the whole program (3 mentorship+4 residencies). These fees are not subject to any increase as long as the participant completes the program in three years plus final summer residency. The price includes the cost of the residency, a full academic-year mentorship, and summer room and board. Travel expenses and any costs associated with the collaboratively designed outside experience are not included, though some support may be available. A variety of payment plans are available to fit your needs.
Note that we're cost competitive with other programs, but we offer:
- A three-year guarantee so you can plan
- The possibility of spreading student loans (if necessary) across three-plus years
- A possible one-year waiver if you hold a relevant MA degree (e.g. Creative writing; English with creative thesis; applied for on a case-by-case basis)
- A low-residency model so you can continue to work as you pursue the program
