Dorothy Meyer Schnaible, 93, passed away April 14 in Moscow, Idaho. Dorothy attended PLU, graduating in 1949. She then served as an ALC-sponsored missionary to India where she administered a boarding school/home for orphaned children and widowed women. Upon her return to the US, she worked at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Moscow. In 1975, she married Fred Schnaible, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott, Washington. Dorothy served on the PLU Board of Regents from 1976 to 1986. In 1993, Dorothy published a book of stories about her experiences called “Handful of Love: A Lutheran Missionary in India.”
