Richard Rapp Jr. ’77 died Jan. 27.

Rapp died Jan. 27. Lifelong Alaska resident Ric Rapp was born on Sept. 7, 1954, to Richard and Marlene Rapp. A high-energy adventurer and champion wrestler, he graduated from East Anchorage High School and Pacific Lutheran University, then worked in real-estate sales. He enjoyed great music, Hawaiian beaches, shopping for good deals, winning at cribbage, Lion’s Club meetings, time at the cabin at Echo Lake and worship with his loving church family. A devastating motor-vehicle accident left him with severe traumatic brain injuries in his early 20s. Throughout extensive surgeries and rehabilitation, Ric’s strength, optimism and determined efforts inspired others for 37 years.
