Faith (Pettis) Reierson died November 1, 2013.
In her freshman year at PLU, while touring with Choir of the West, she met the love of her life, Larry Reierson. They were married in March 1964. Faith’s nursing career started at Swedish Hospital in Seattle,. She received her master’s of nursing from the University of Washington, continued to work with Community Health on Bainbridge Island and started a parish nursing ministry at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in 1987. Following a long and distinguished career in nursing education, she was appointed the coordinator of the nursing program at Olympic College. She retired in 1991 and enjoyed the summers sailing. Faith is survived by her husband, Larry; daughters Kathleen Nenninger and Christy (Reierson ’91) Miller; six grandchildren; her sister, Pauline Mueller; and her aunt, Eleanor Wass.
