Holly Adams Sherman

Holly Adams Sherman passed away on Jan. 15 in Mississippi. She retired as a lieutenant commander from the U.S. Navy after serving many assignments in locations around the world. An art major at PLU, she was an accomplished artist and has pieces displayed in museums across the U.S. In 1986 she married her husband Tony, also a naval officer. They had two daughters, Leslie, who perished in the Virginia Tech shooting in 2007, and Lisa. She is survived by her parents, Les and Gerry Adams, husband, daughter, granddaughter and four sisters. Her remains will be laid to rest next to Leslie in Arlington National Cemetery.
