Penda Naanda was appointed as ambassador/permanent representative of the Republic of Namibia to the United Nations Office at Geneva on Nov. 26, 2018. He presented his Credentials to Michael Moller, director general of the United Nations Office at Geneva, and is accredited as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Namibia to the United Nations Office at Geneva. Penda was one of the nine Namibian PLU Scholars, an opportunity made possible by the generosity of the University Congregation. Since his graduation from PLU, Penda has also served at the United Nation headquarters in New York.
