Virgie (Bermudez) Sheldon

Virgie (Bermudez) Sheldon and her husband Tom went to Antarctica with friends who had it on their bucket list. They visited a spot near the former British research station Port Lockroy on Weincke Island, where Virgie was able to walk out onto the sea ice. They saw many “couples” of gentoo penguins who were nesting — each partner bringing food to their mate as they protected their nests from predators. It was an amazing day as they continued to be awestruck with God’s beauty and nature throughout the trip.
