Amber believes in a client-centered approach and the client’s ability to heal and become more self-aware in a non-judgmental environment. Amber utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques to suit each client’s individual needs. Amber practices Existential therapy which helps the client in discovering their own personal wants and needs, with a heavy emphasis on self-awareness and self-reliability. Amber is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and looking at the options and alternatives in changing negative thinking habits. Amber’s work history includes volunteer work at Eastern State Hospital, a women’s dual-diagnosis and treatment center for Eating Disorders, and a community mental-health agency.
