We offer affordable, high-quality care to individuals, couples, and families, using the latest advances in the field. Care at our center is based on a family-focused model of therapy, which means that we encourage family members or significant others to come together in therapy in order to gather as much information as possible about the difficulties you are facing.
The Couple and Family Therapy Center offers therapy solutions for: Family, Parenting, Depression, Anxiety, Divorce, Trauma, Communication, Anger Management, Sex and Sexuality, Grief and Loss, Drugs and Alcohol, and Couples/Marital Issues.
We can best serve you when multiple people are involved, working together toward a solution. As such, children of any age are welcome in sessions. In addition, our therapists often work together in co-therapy teams to offer multiple perspectives and solutions for you and your loved ones.
All CFTC therapists are supervised by highly experienced, qualified supervisors, and are prepared to assist individuals, couples, and families with concerns.
Working with you, working for you
All therapists have bachelor’s degrees and are pursuing advanced training in Marriage and Family Therapy. The faculty of PLU’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program supervises the therapists and will often observe or watch videotapes of sessions to make suggestions. All faculty are Washington State licensed MFT practitioners, with additional credentials as clinical supervisors.
Your right to privacy is important to us
We will protect your privacy by assigning a number to you and your family for use in our files. Unless required to do so by law, we do not disclose that you are coming to the center or anything about your therapy to anyone without your prior written approval.
Financial costs to Clients
The CFTC sees clients on a fee-for-service basis. We have an initial fee of $10 for the first 2-hour session. Costs of additional visits are determined by a sliding scale based on your household’s gross monthly income and the number of people in your household.
For example: If your monthly income before taxes is between $0 and $499 and there are 1 or 2 people in your family, our fee for services will be $14 per session after the first (intake) session. If there are more than 2 people in your family the fee would be $12 per session. For additional information on the fee schedule contact the center at 253-535-8782.
Please note: The CFTC does not accept medical coupons or other forms of insurance. We do accept cash or personal checks.
