Biography
Clements has worked as Director of Content Development since 2007. As such, she guides the telling of the PLU story through the most effective medium. She has orchestrated the creation of PLU's e-library, a database of the university's stories, videos, audio slideshows and pictures. She's also guided all of PLU's web sites into its new content management system, and orchestrated the push to put PLU's presence on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. She guided the creation of PLU's new doorways and works with the doorways editor to place new stories and events on the pages on a daily basis. She is the managing editor of PLU's alumni magazine "Scene" and senior writer for "U" Magazine, which goes out to potential students in their junior and senior years of high school. Before coming to PLU, she was communications director at an educational non-profit, Partnership for Learning, and created their blog - Hall Monitor - and guided the revamp of their web site. A journalist for more than 20 years, she worked the last 14 at The News Tribune in Tacoma. She was an investigative business journalist for the last seven years at the TNT and launched their real estate blog - Open House. She has won more than 20 state, regional and national journalism awards.
