Scandinavian Cultural Center

The SCC enriches understanding of Nordic-American cultures, reflecting PLU’s Norwegian heritage. We offer engaging cultural programs for the community and students attending PLU. As a vital part of the South Puget Sound’s community, we foster connections between Nordic individuals and organizations.

Come explore the SCC! We’re open to the public on Sundays (1-4 p.m.) and Tuesdays and Wednesdays (12-3 p.m.). Tours are available by appointment for students, school groups, and community members. Contact us to schedule your visit!

Membership in the SCC is a great way to stay up to date with our events and to become involved in our programming.

The SCC is being renovated during Summer 2025, so there are no current exhibits. Please email scancntr@plu.edu with any questions.

Acknowledgement of the Land We Occupy

PLU is on the traditional lands of the Nisqually, Puyallup, Squaxin Island and Steilacoom peoples; we acknowledge and respect the traditional caretakers of this land.
This is the land acknowledgement you find scattered around the PLU website. The staff here at the Scandinavian Cultural Center think it is doubly important that we acknowledge this.
