The sun is shining - for the most part - and that means that Pacific Lutheran University is gearing up for the annual berry festivals, held in Eastvold Red Square in the heart of campus. All of the berry festivals are open to the public, and all are welcome.
As it turns out a little ingenuity, a few sharpies and a desire to bring awareness is all it takes to make a difference. Throughout the year, PLU’s Progress Club made the extra effort to bring awareness to the realities of the U.S. Health Care system and raise money for the free care fund at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma.

Four student researcher-filmmakers in Pacific Lutheran University’s MediaLab program won a 2009 College Division Emmy Award for the production of "Illicit Exchanges: Canada, the U.S. & Crime," a 30-minute film that explores the effects of crime, drugs and gangs in communities across North America.
