Grades 9-12 Registration & Information

This registration form opens Monday, January 13, 2020 and closes end of day Monday, March 16, 2020.

SSRSEF hopes to send 2 projects to ISEF however we currently do not have enough funding. We are still working to obtain additional funds. We will notify all high school registrants when funding is available or by the end of February if it is not. In any case we recommend that any student looking to qualify for 2020 ISEF also register for the State Fair.

The South Sound Regional Science and Engineering Fair will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020. The Fair Registration Form and several ISEF Forms are required.

In following with changes in Intel ISEF there is no more Team category. All teams of 2 or 3 persons will register for a specific scientific category and be judged in that category. Click here for a list and descriptions of Intel ISEF categories. There are several new category choices and other categories have been combined so please carefully select your project category. We reserve the right to combine categories for ease of fair management.

You can submit a project as an individual or as a team of up to three people.

  • If a team consists of two members from different regional fair counties that team can choose which regional fair to enter. For example, if a team consists of a member from Thurston County and from King County they could enter the SSRSEF or the CSRSEF but not both.
  • If a team consists of three members they would need to register for the fair which contains two of the members. For example, If the team consists of two members from Pierce County and one from King County they would need to enter the SSRSEF.
  • The team can participate in the state fair after the regional fair with no restrictions.
  • Counties that are part of the SSRSEF are Pierce, Thurston, Lewis, and Mason. Counties that are part of the CSRSEF are King and Snohomish.

Fair Registration Form (required).

  • To register, complete the online form and submit.
  • When registering as a team, have each member submit a form and list all members in the team member names box.
  • For the Project Description box, submit a one paragraph description of your project so we can determine correct category placement.
