September 27, 2012 New SurPLUs hours SurPLUs has new hours to go with the new school year. Now from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Wednesday and 10 a.m. from 3 p.m. every Friday, it will be open. For those unfamiliar with SurPLUs, it is located on lower campus near the campus mail room. There you can drop off things that you no longer need or want and look for used things such as furniture, clothing, or books. If the items are for PLU use they are absolutely FREE. Photo courtesy of Dr. Seth Dowland Dr. Dowland, Associate Professor of Religion and Chair of Women’s and Gender Studies, was able to focus on his second book project, which has the working title of “Purity and Power: The History of White Christian Masculinity in America.” He completed much of his research at Oxford University, which houses the largest collection of scholarly material on American religion outside of North America.
