We strive to serve as a communication link between all levels of non-faculty employees and between non-faculty employees and other members of the university and community including students, faculty, and administrative leaders. The council provides a forum for staff to raise and discuss areas and issues of interest and to make recommendations regarding such issues.
The ASC (Administrative Staff Council) provides a visible and proactive voice on issues having significant staff impact, such as salaries, benefits, tuition benefits and university policies. PLU has many committees working on issues that are important to everyone who works on campus. The ASC organizes volunteers to sit on several main committees and bring the voice of non-faculty administrators and staff to the table.
