Thank you for your interest in Alumni & Student Connection’s mentoring programs! Provided below are a few general guidelines for both mentees and mentors. If you are considering participating in one of our mentoring programs, we encourage you to read the expectations below.
Mentee Expectations
- Communicate with your mentor at least once a month from November-April. Meet-ups can take place in-person or virtually depending on what you and your mentor decide.
- Be professional and respectful.
- Actively listen during sessions with your mentor.
- Set and achieve personal and professional goals.
- Notify the program manager, Brandi Hilliard, at bhilliard@plu.edu if you feel at risk or need support in school or your personal life.
As a mentee, it’s good to understand what’s involved and how much of a time commitment is expected. If you cannot commit to being actively involved, please reconsider participating in the program.
How can I get matched with a mentor?
You will need to sign in or create an account on LuteLink, if you do not have one. LuteLink is the platform only for the PLU community to connect and network. Please review the screenshot below for more information. Click on the image below to view a larger size!
