Lunch & Learns are a great way for students to learn about a career topic while enjoying a complimentary lunch. All Spring 2020 Lunch & Learns will take place from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Nesvig Alumni Center. Advanced RSVP is required (registration on the Opportunities Board is coming soon).

Washington State Capitol Career Trek

Monday, February 3, 2020

PLU’s Washington State Capitol Career Trek will take place on Monday, February 3, 2020. On this trek, students will tour the Capitol in Olympia, WA, learn about career and internship opportunities, and meet professionals from the House and Senate. Students will have the opportunity to network with PLU alumni who work for Washington State during a luncheon at the 3 Magnets Brewery Co. in Olympia.

Time: 9 a.m. -3 p.m. (time is subject to change due to scheduling)

Student seats are limited, so please register soon (if registration is full, students are highly encouraged to join the waitlist).

ScribeAmerica Fireside Coffee Chat

Wednesday, February 12 from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Stop by Nesvig between 10:30-11:30 a.m. to meet Kasey with ScribeAmerica. She will be hosting a Fireside Coffee Chat, which is like office hours – you’ll swing by, grab a cup of coffee, and chat with Kasey to learn more about ScribeAmerica’s part time, paid, and flexible scribe positions. All majors and class levels are welcome!

Can’t stop by from 10:30-11:30? Be sure to catch up with Kasey, who will be tabling in the Anderson University Center from 11:30am-3pm after the Coffee Chat.

Save the date! The Education Career Fair will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. This event is for K-12 schools and school districts to connect with PLU students interested in educational careers.

United Way of Thurston County is coming to PLU to share information about their employment opportunities! All students are welcome to drop by their meet & greet session, which will be held from 10-11:30 am on Wednesday, April 8.
