Biography
Dr. Hames' research has focused primarily in two areas: the Cultural History of Alcohol, and assessment in Higher Education.  She recently published a book, Alcohol in World History, (Routledge, 2012) and is currently working on an article exploring assessment of short-term study away courses. She is very involved in international education at PLU and teaches two J-Term study away courses -- one in Bolivia and Peru, and another in Cuba.
