ASPLU Senate Election Packet 2021-22

How do I run for Senate?

1. Interest Meeting

Interested candidates must attend one of these interest meetings:

Sept 9: 2-2:30pm in AUC 143
Sept 10: 4:30-5pm in AUC 143
Sept 15: 4:30-5pm in AUC 172

If there are any questions, or if you are unable to attend one of these dates, please contact President Chan at asplupres@plu.edu to work out alternative options.

2. Registration

After attending an interest meeting, candidates should register & indicate which senate position they are running for on the registration sheet located in the front of the ASPLU Office, AUC 172.

Registration closes at 5:00pm on September 17th.  

3. Election Materials

Petition, Headshots, Policy Statement & Campaign Plan are due September 17th.

4. Campaign

Active campaigning starts when you turn in your election materials, and ends at 11:59pm on September 28th.

5. Financial Statement

Financial Statement is due September 29th By 5pm.
