Office of Campus Ministry

Get Involved

Leap of Faith

The Leap of Faith Dancers is a liturgical dance group that shares its gifts at Chapel and University Congregation.

There are a number of ways you can get involved. Each role has special importance in the functions of the Campus Ministry Office and the worship here on campus. As a student, you bring your own creative energy to the stage, the microphone, or even the office!

Ways you can be involved:

Campus Ministry Intern
Our interns take on a lot of responsibility. Did you know that there are 6 opportunities for worship each week? Our interns are the oil for the Campus Ministry machine. The intern also works in the office and contributes to special events. The application process for the intern positions begins each February.

Desk Worker
Desk workers take on many clerical tasks. They assist the office staff in multiple ways and often find themselves calling worship assistants, designing advertisements for the Daily Flyer, or putting inserts into bulletins for our worship opportunities.

Worship Assistant
University Congregation is a student-run congregation. As such, we utilize our best asset--students! It is easy to get involved as

  • an usher
  • a communion assistant
  • lector (the reader of the lessons)
  • intercessor (the reader of the prayers)
  • cantor (the song leader)

We often seek out worship assistants for Chapel, Holden Evening Prayer, and The Cross.  We are always looking for a few good Lutes to help us out!

Do you have other artistic talents?  Consider joining the Leap of Faith Dancers, providing special music for any of our worship opportunities, or joining Chapel Choir.

Please call or e-mail the Campus Ministry Office if you would like to be involved!
