Pastoral Care
Pastor Jen is available to the entire PLU community (students, faculty, and staff) for one-on-one pastoral care. Contact Pastor Jen at rudejl@plu.edu or book an appointment online.
There are lots of reasons you might meet with a pastor. Some include:
- times of crisis or grief
- relationship joys and struggles
- LGBTQ+ identity and faith
- spiritual curiosity or wanting to explore faith
- life questions around purpose, vocation, what’s next
- confidential Title IX conversations
You don’t need to be Lutheran, religious, or even spiritual to connect with Pastor Jen. She’s delighted to engage with folks from many different faiths, perspectives, worldviews, and value systems. Knowing that faith communities in particular have not always been safe spaces for LGBTQ+ folks, Campus Ministry intentionally welcomes and affirms people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expression, and works toward faithfully living out PLU’s values of diversity, justice, and sustainability.
And, every minister has different education and life experience, and is able to connect and help people in different ways. For those seeking to engage with someone of a different faith or background, Pastor Jen would be happy to work with you to find a meaningful connection with a local spiritual leader.
