Lucas Kulhanek is currently a junior at Pacific Lutheran University and is graduating in the spring of 2014. He is a religious studies and Hispanic studies double major with the aspiration of going into ministry to encourage faith development and to promote social justice. He studied at a Missouri Synod elementary school, was baptized as an ELCA Lutheran, raised by an ELCA Lutheran mother and a Catholic father, and was received as an Episcopalian. Lucas was born in the small town of Wenatchee, Washington which resides in the middle of our lovely state. It is known as the “Apple Capitol” of the world and continues to maintain its title. On his free time, he love pondering about religious traditions, maintaining his blogs, hanging out with friends, working with social justice groups and traveling. Lucas has been involved in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer movement since he was fifteen years old. People may not know this, but Lucas is an avid traveler having lived in Czech Republic for five months, in Lima, Perú for a year and Buenos Aires, Argentina for 5 months.
