Biography
Lynne Tiedeman came to Pacific Lutheran University after nearly thirty years as a public school educator. Her experience includes, vocal and instrumental music for elementary and secondary school, general education elementary and secondary (middle school) classrooms, school district level professional development, program development and supervision, and school administration; specifically the principalship. Throughout her work in the public school and university settings, Ms Tiedeman has focused on program design and implementation particularly as it applies to curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies for diverse populations. This work has led to an extensive background in professional development for adult learners in the field of education. At Pacific Lutheran University, this focus has translated into program design in relation to standards based education and outcomes. Her emphasis includes development, implementation, and oversight of curriculum, instruction and assessment at the university and state levels for teachers, mentors, facilitators, and administrators; including pre-service and in-service training, certification, and licensure.
