Office of the Provost

Welcome to the Office of the Provost

The Provost, also known as Chief Academic Officer, at PLU is responsible to the President and the Board of Regents for reporting on all academic affairs and activities.  The provost oversees all academic divisions and professional schools, as well as Information and Technology Services and the Wang Center for Global Education.

The Office of the Provost coordinates numerous projects and events, including faculty reviews, sabbaticals, faculty fall conference, student-faculty research celebration, faculty teaching evaluations, providing faculty support, and planning the academic budget.  We also work closely with the Provost Office Annex, which consists of the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Special Academic Programs, Associate Provost for Curriculum, and Institutional Research.

Both the Office of the Provost and the Provost Office Annex are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.; closing briefly Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. to observe University Chapel and from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. for lunch daily.  We are also closed for all university observed holidays but remain open during academic breaks (such as Mid-Semester, J-term, and Spring breaks).  The Office of the Provost is located in Hauge Administration Building room 103 and the Provost Office Annex is located in Hauge Administration Building room 127.
