Welcome to the Wild Hope Archive
Thank you for visiting the archival pages of the Wild Hope Project, an exploration of vocation at Pacific Lutheran University. To contemplate your own conceptions of meaning and purpose with the current Wild Hope Center for Vocation, explore their website here.
The Wild Hope Project came to PLU in 2003 upon reception of a two-million dollar grant from the Lilly Endowment. The project was founded on the idea that improving the quality of vocational reflection can positively contribute to the university's intellectually rigorous, developmentally astute, theologically rich, and globally informed environment—in order to make the campus community a place that best nurtures students to become the thoughtful, aware, committed, creative leaders the world needs. The faculty and regents of PLU have continued to support this vision, and in May, 2011 the Wild Hope Center for Vocation was created to carry on the project's good work.
