Tommy Flanagan is a junior at PLU this year, double majoring in political science and global studies with a minor in German. He is from a small town in Montana called Absarokee, a place which he will always call home, however still loves PLU! He studied away in Finland last spring where he learned a lot about himself and the world! He is involved in Residential Life as an RA in Hong Hall, involved with choir at PLU, serves on the Interfaith Council, and loves to play the piano. Learning about cultures and other languages is one of his favorite things to do, but often expresses concern about getting a job in that field. Engaging in new and exciting things is something Tommy believes in and would always encourage others to just do something crazy. It is a great way to learn how to see things from a different view point and learn things about yourself as well. He loves hanging out with his friends and shooting the breeze. It is a good way to relieve stress. He is very excited to meet people and do many meaningful things on the council this year, as well as work with some wonderful colleagues.
